What do we tutor?

We offer comprehensive tuition across all core subjects, including Maths, English, and Science. Additionally, we provide specialised support in wider curriculum subjects such as Geography, History, and French.

Our services cater to students at every level:

General support: Helping your child build a strong foundation in the national curriculum.
Stretch and challenge: Tailored tuition for pupils working at greater depth, ensuring they reach their full potential.
Exam preparation: Expert guidance for Phonics, SATs, GCSEs, and A-Levels.

We also specialise in preparing students for entrance exams, including the 7+ and 11+ exams, equipping them with the skills and confidence to excel.

How does it work?

Before your child’s first lesson, we will arrange an initial telephone consultation to discuss their needs in detail. This conversation helps us gain a well-rounded understanding of your child and their current levels of attainment.

During the first session, we will take the time to get to know your child and conduct baseline assessments to identify their strengths and areas for development. After the session, we will share the assessment results with you and outline their next steps.

Based on this, we will create a personalised tutoring plan tailored to your child’s needs, which will guide future lessons and support their progress effectively.

What happens in lessons?

Our online lessons take place in a secure virtual classroom using the Zoom platform. Before each session, your tutor will send you a Zoom link to join the lesson, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free experience.

During sessions, tutors make full use of interactive tools to create an engaging and enjoyable learning environment. This includes using the interactive whiteboard, individualised learning tasks, educational games, and quizzes to capture your child’s interest and make lessons fun and dynamic. Wherever possible, tutors incorporate your child’s interests into the session to foster motivation and enthusiasm.

Each lesson provides opportunities to revisit and consolidate previously learned material, ensuring that knowledge and skills are deeply embedded. In addition, new concepts, knowledge, and skills are introduced progressively to promote steady and meaningful progress in your child’s learning.

Our goal is to ensure that online lessons are just as interactive, personalised, and effective as in-person sessions, helping your child to thrive in a supportive and stimulating virtual environment.
